A List of Things I’ll Never Do Again

20161216_231523

I tend to be a bit of an impulsive person – maybe even a little forgetful. I’ve done my fair share of stupid things, even some downright ridiculous things. Here is a list of ten things I will never do again, and why.

  1. I’ll never mix Red Bull and vodka ever again. My heart and liver will thank me. I’m sure.
  2. I’ll NEVER join a dating site ever again. Paid. Free. They’re all the same. The four horrifying dates (for example, one grabbed my boobs over a plate of pancakes) and the two internet stalkers should explain why.
  3. I’ll never skip the sunscreen in Hawaii ever again. The five days of a miserable vacation are the reason why.
  4. On that note. I will never use self-tanner ever again. Donald Trump orange anyone? I’m too pale, I’m not fooling anyone by showing up as a bronzed goddess!
  5. I will never watch horror movies alone ever again. (But I probably will) The lack of sleep and jumping at every noise were ridiculous.
  6. I will never try to force a relationship to work ever again. If it doesn’t work – it doesn’t work. No matter how nice they may be.
  7. I will never not save my work periodically. (I probably will) Crying over lost documents is not a good look for me.
  8.  I will never think I can remember something without writing it down.  Because I will never remember. Ever.
  9. I will never ever apply Icy Hot to my entire, freshly showered body ever again. No matter how sore I am. Can you get hypothermia from a creme because…
  10. I will never pretend to ignore red flags/signs of lying because I think I’m being too critical or negative. Red flags are red flags…you need to believe your gut instincts.

Because the technology was basically nil back then, it was assumed we were dead in mine and other towns.

Starting a Youtube Channel

pexels-photo-414548.jpeg

As a single mom of two, who has a full-time career and is an aspiring full-time Romance author – finding time to do it all is difficult. Sometimes it’s downright draining. The one thing I’ve loved since I decided to take this journey is the connections I’ve made along the way.

I’ve cherished the advice given to me, and I’ve tried to pass it along to other people I meet.

I’d like to take this process, this journey, to another level. A more personal one. I’d like to share this road I’m traveling with you – on video. I’d like to share my ups and downs, my daily life, some of my tips and tricks, how I manage my time and the things that I learn as I go. And I’ll do it all with my weird sense of humor and a smile!

I’ve started jotting down a few video ideas to get started with, I’ve found myself some official “vlogger” music and I will sit down and take the time to create a channel! I have every Monday off, my children are in school, so what better way to enjoy my quiet time, then chatting with you!

I look forward to sharing with everyone, and if there are specific videos you would like to see, I am always open to suggestion.

Until then,

I Just Really F#@King Like Cats. Okay?

Some might say I’ve gone a bit overboard. I say, I just really fucking like cats. Okay?

I was single, and suddenly everyone I knew was tagging me in crazy cat lady memes. Well with me it’s go big or go home. Everyone called me a crazy cat lady (though I actually had no cat) I decided to become the crazy cat lady.

Enter Jojo.

IMG_7250

The day this little ball of black fur and attitude entered my life, I became a cat lady. She’s my best buddy, my lovely little companion, and minion of darkness. We have our little routines, just me and Jojo. Every night, while I’m winding down and watching Grey’s she climbs into my lap purring, and head butts me over and over and over.

Enter Hazel:

This crazy cat is so sweet and so bonkers. She makes me laugh daily. Every morning she sits in the sink and watches me put on makeup and do my hair while she also tries to sneak sips of coffee. If you can’t find Hazel, pour some food – she’ll come running.

At this point, I have: a cat dress. Cat purse. Cat wallet. 2 cat t-shirts. Cat watch. Cat earrings. Cat tattoo. Cat coffee canister. 2 Cat mugs. Cat desk organizer. Cat tape dispenser WITH cat tape. Cat pens. Cat…cat…cat…

Saturday Top Six

I skipped Friday again! It’s always my busiest workload day.

So my new book is part of a small town romance series and when I write, each book has its own playlist. I noticed as I started filling up this playlist, it was about 50% country music. Though the book, in general, has nothing to do with country music, it just helped set my mood.
